Erryn Arkin developed a passion in the dramatic arts early on in his life. Lead roles in theatre throughout the 1990s included his repeat performances as Hamlet in various adaptations of the play.
He earned his degree at the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia. Arkin furthered his training by studying screen acting at NIDA in Sydney and at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio while living in Los Angeles.
He recently starred as the lead on the top-rating Fox series "Crime Investigation Australia". Other credits include working on "Home and Away", "Blue Water High", "Rescue Special Ops", and several independent films screened internationally.
Arkin has recently completed work on several films set for screens in 2010, including "Cedar Boys" and the leading role in "The Illustrator".
After being selected in 2007-2008 as one of only eight young Australian filmmakers to be involved in the NSW government funded 'Springboard Project' (similar to U.S. 'Project Greenlight'), Erryn Arkin has been writing and directing award-winning independent films which have screened at festivals.
He is also an avid Rugby supporter and enjoys playing team sports in his spare time.
